Secure TeleHealth video conferencing allows behavioral health providers to provide high-quality mental health services to returning veterans in rural communities. 

Secure Telehealth allows returning vets suffering with PTSD to participate in cognitive behavioral therapy group sessions with highly-trained, highly effective peer support specialists who participate via video conferencing.  Secure Telehealth allows certified peer specialists to participate in group sessions from a distance without driving to the group meetings.

The Veterans Mental Health and Other Care Improvements Act of 2008 directs the VA to contract with community mental health providers to provide mental health services in rural areas in which access to VA services is inadequate.
